José Trinidad Castañeda, a climate activist in Orange County who serves as the Beautification and Environmental Commissioner for the city of Buena Park, says that in order to address the wildfire issue, California must address its housing crisis.
“Climate does not discriminate, but our housing crisis has,” said Trinidad Castañeda.

“The summer has begun, temperatures will continue to rise … so what will you do?” asked Castaneda.

City council approves new housing complex construction - Darius Johari
Jose Trinidad Castaneda… voiced his support for the Casa Bella project via Zoom and urged the (Fullerton) mayor and council members to pass the resolutions and ordinances tied to the project.
“It's so important that we get more affordable housing and I could not think of a better project to replace that ugly empty parking lot, and really the carwash of a bygone era,” Castaneda said.
